Energy aware is a certification and labeling program for high performance programmable thermostats for residential use.The program helps homeowners,distributors,contractors and installers choose programmable thermostats models that will best meet individually and family needs to manage and reduce energy usage and costs.
PURCHASE EASE
The ENERGY AWARE label helps you identify and purchase a programmable thermostat built to reduce energy bills without sacrificing system performance and individual comfort. When you see the ENERGY AWARE label, you’ll know that thermostat has been approved by the program.
PROGRAMMING EASE
Thermostats with the ENERGY AWARE label are easy to program and also give you the option of using pre-programmed ENERGY AWARE setpoint times and temperatures.
QUALIFYING FOR THE ENERGY AWARE LABEL
Only programmable thermostats that meet the energy efficiency requirements set forth in the NEMA DC-3-Annex A specification qualify for the ENERGY AWARE label, so you’ll know your ENERGY AWARE-labeled choice has met the rigorous standards.
